Mirelle Acuña is the co-founder of the RGV International Mariachi Conference and a driving force in mariachi education across South Texas. With 17 years of teaching experience and a master’s in educational leadership, she’s dedicated her life to creating opportunities for young musicians. She once thought mariachi “sucked”—now she’s one of its biggest advocates. Her mission? To create access, uplift tradition, and open doors for the next generation.
